Crossovers direct certain frequency ranges to different speakers, such as sending the highs to your tweeters and the lows to your subwoofer. This addition will make your speakers much crisper by only sending them the frequencies they were meant to play. In addition they can also add years to the lifetime of your car speakers. Equalizers are all about customization and give you the ability to fine tune your music in a way you can't by using only using the built in unit on your stereo. If you are going to be serious about your music you need a sound processor.
